I spent years living in the desert, and this art is realistic enough to make me homesick. Love the colors. Faved.

Good quality Terragen render. Very good surfacing, and I like the post work too. I generally use GeoControl for my terrain generation, only because I find it easier to work with than WorldMachine.

hey mate!thanks for the comment, well i wanted to create a clean minimalistic scene think it ended up pretty good.too tell you the truth i tried a demo of geo control and didnt like it,looked way to different than world machine and i got used to it so it didnt quite work out for me as i expected, but i have seen lots of great terrains made in GC,maybe ill give it another try sometime, but for now ill stick with wm...
ps-i took the liberty of faving some of your work, hope you dont mind :D

Awesome lighting! I've been trying to emulate that in blender but it's very hard to get a soft glare like that.

hey there, well i also did try out blender for a short time but it was pretty confusing, dont like the interface to complicated..well at least for me.
the glare wasnt so dificult to get,i just tweaked the simple haze option in terragen and duplicateded the whole scene in photoshop and blured certain layers.well i dont know what yore into but check out terragen 0.9 if you have the time its simple but can give nice results somtimes, cheers!

Blenders interface becomes intuitional after awhile but it's not very beginner-friendly.

I have terragen 0.9 but it's useless to me as long as I can't import .ter files into blender.

Very realistic! the terrain has a nice, eroded form an dthe simple arc of the planet showing is all you need for a classic desert world setting like this, I like the soft, dreamy glare around everything too

I like it and "soft" is cool. :) Is there a larger version I can use for wallpaper?

hey thre roj!well sad to say it but i dont have a larger version,i mean i do but its without posprocessing in ps,so id have to start all over again to make a bigger one,and to tell you the truth im too lazy to do this now...maybe in a few days.anyways thanks for checking it out, cheers!

I really like it, but the terragen seems a bit soft, and the moon sliver is a little bit too thin even for a mid-day kind of scene

thanks for the comment and fav mate! the thing is i dont usually like sharp terragen 0.9 scenes the terrain gets kinnda damaged and its hard to postprocess such scenes in phototshop so i went for this option, and also the shadows a sharp terrain casts are bleh....not to pretty to look at,well i guess its a matter of personal liking nevertheless thanks for sharing your oppinion on this one! cheers!
and well the planet...i think ill change it later today...blargh im writing to much...meeeeu :D
