well politicians come and go,governments fall and the people stay in head deep shit...our prime minister just resigned today,and in a not so good time for the common everyday joes here in croatia.our GDP has fallen at least 7 percent in the last few months ,and thats the official number,our negotiations with the europian union are goning nowhere,the unemployment rate is at the highest peek in the last 10 years,we re facing bankruptcy,our foreign depth is at least 150000000kn and rising rapidly the leading right winged current is full of political affairs,we re in a economical crissis and in recesion,coruption in all shapes and forms is a common thing,well...we re in shit...i know most of these things are a part of everyday wories in most of our neighbouring countries but still i fell the need to write this down.
during the last 15 years of rule of the biggest political party HDZ in Croatia,conservative cristian right winged to add,we lost every major oil and pharmaceutical company, sold our banks,shipbuilding has colapsed,tourism is suffering due to conservative laws requested by the church,the people lost their political will to vote and stay active in politics,people who tried to expose some of the biggest frauds get sent to a shrink,get beat up or in the worst case sceanario belive it or not get killed/thats right one of the leading journalists here got killed last year.
the thing that bothers me the most dr.ivo sanader our now former PM didnt give one solid reason why he s resigning,its not his health and the things i ve listed above according to him dont even exist or have never happend,he turned his back on his people at the most difficult period since our independence,but well i guess thats what cowards do,run and hide.shit im so furious.
the list of bad choices and their side efects is endless when it comes to politics in Croatia and i could go on all night but this is enough for now to illustrate the chaos we live in,cheers to all people who are struggling in their every day attempts to survive in these troubling times we re living!
